Students who regularly complete assignments to deadline are likely to be more successful in exams.
Presentation is important. Always complete your assignments as carefully as you can.
Don’t leave your assignments until last thing at night. Set yourself a time slot for doing your work.
All students are expected to develop skills of independent learning and put them into practice throughout Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. There will be opportunities for students in school and at home to manage and take responsibility for their own learning. Homework Club is run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the library from 3pm – 4pm, all students are welcome. Download the letter about Homework Club
Although students take the primary responsibility for their independent learning, it is expected that by encouraging, supporting and showing an interest, parents/carers and others at home can create a culture which fosters learning.
Students are expected to record information in planners for every lesson. This should either be homework or the main theme of the session.
We use an online system which enables parents and students to access information about the homework that has been set in the school.
By clicking in the link you will be able to see the school homework calendar and find out information about which tasks have been set and due dates, and gain access to supporting resources.
